Sigma 10-20 mm UWA Lense

Yesterday, I had a opportunity to be at Low Yat Plaza and Sg Wang. To those who really likes the computer, laptop, phones or any IT gadgets, this is the place where they can get all that. By the way, I just went there after attending the progress meeting for the coming pipeline replacement project for Dulang, at KLCC. Not to buy anythings related to IT, but to survey the price for my favourites lense. Yes, it is a Sigma, 10-20 mm Ultra Wide Lense, Nikon based. Been thinigking about getting this for the last few months, but the price is considered high for a person like me. Most of the shops that I visited offered the lense at a price range between RM 2K- RM 2.2K....but I did found 1 shop at Sg Wang that could offered me RM 1.65K for the same unit...at first, it really get me excited, but after considering the number of RM 50 notes that I need to give to the seller, it just turned me off. Well, maybe I just need to wait for the price to go down (if any), or bought it when I really ready financially. But, I did include it in my 'to buy' list for sure...InsyaAllah!

IBM Twinhead R40e back in action!

It's been a while since the last time we used this notebook, basically due to it's limitation on the processor and memory (at least that is what we thought at the first place) plus there is no wifi hardware available with this unit. Somehow everything has changed now. We did rejuvenate this old gear to cater current application. Last two days, we decided to sent it to local computer shop for services, which includes re-format all the software, add up additional RAM with 512MB capacity at 400 Hz speed, and also equipped with Aztech wireless adaptor (portable) to get it connected with the wifi service at home.


Today's...wallaa...it's work fine. The old grany is getting fix and feel younger again. It works faster than ever (compare to previous condition), loading page and application is not a time consuming anymore. But, this condition need to be maintain, which means that no un-necessarry softwares or applications can be installed to preserve the speed and its operatability.

Yup, we are so glad with the come back of our old IBM (my wife bought it way back in 2003)....and we do hope that it could last longer...InsyaAllah..!

Aztech WL830RT4

We have been using this wireless router, Aztech Model WL830RT4 for almost 3 months. However, last night this router acts wierdly, where it simply disconnect itself from the internet thus creating the intermittent signal to my laptop. You know how it feels when you lost the signal in the middle of downloading all the important files rite? Huhu...I did tried to turned off the power supply to the modem and the router, and bring them back after 1 minutes, but the same problems still persists. After few attempts, I decided to turn-off both units and went for sleeps, since it's already past 12 AM. This morning, the signal is working fine...and I do hope that this will last. Maybe last night the router got overheated since we never turn it off for almost 7 days. But, previously we used to let it ON for almost a month and no such problems happened. Anyway, glad to get it back and still not sure how long will it last. This is the 3rd router that we used within the past 2 years, and we don't have any intention of getting the new one in a short time, so Aztech..you better behave and do a good job alrite?
