Sweet meals just before the sweet escape

Truly sweet are the two words that best to sum up our ramadhan buffet experiences in Krom Luang last Wednesday. Krom luang is one of the restaurants in Ipoh that serves original and authentic Thai cuisines. The name of the restaurant is taken from Thai words for old palace and is synonymous with istana zaman silam in Malay. And the name is not for nothing and not just a name; the foods served were truly representing what royal cuisines should be. The menu was very exciting and mouth-watering (literally of course) just by reading them.

On that night, Krom Luang served Thai-style Tomyam( it had a Thai name but I forgot what it was)- filled and full of medium-sized prawns, Sup Tulang, Sesame Chicken, Thai-style Garoupa, Sweet and Sour Prawns, Curry Crab, Kerabu Mangga, Kailan Ikan Masin,Ulam, Chilli Lala, Soy Sauce Meat and few more lip-smacking meals that I cant recall. And not just that they also dished out few types of appetizing puddings, kuih,mee/beehoon soups and the one that I like the most – pulut mangga (soo yummy!)
Too bad we did not have any photos to share here cos we arrived there just few minutes before buka and started to gobble all the food once Azan was on air.

Actually it was a somewhat hesitant choice to dine there due to the fact that it is always packed to the capacity. (Cos you’ll end up eating just the rice if u arrived late). But since others were fully booked so we decided to simply dash in and try our luck. And thank god the luck was really on our side cos we were the sole customers that night. I repeat the ONLY customers that nite! Can you imagine that? That means we had all the scrumptious meals to ourselves! :D Need I to mention that we had all the prawns, crabs, garoupa and etc to ourselves..!! Haha! That was really sweet!

And yes..the sweetest part was the whole meals only cost us RM 23 per person.

Note : Those are the ‘sweet’ meals that we had before our narrow escape (has been unveiled in the previous posting). We were so grateful to the Almighty God for the privilege to undergo these trials. It helps to make us realize that not only you can have all the happiness in the world in one night but you can also face a calamity on that very same nite. Really hope with all the sweet experiences that we had we will turn out to be ‘sweeter’ persons. Insya Allah.

Wow..sedapnya menu malam tu...kalo sempat ambik gamba dah sampai kat kitorang tu he he. Pulut mangga memang best kan? and I bet the same goes to the other dishes as well. Macam ni kalo pegi Ipoh kena pekena kat restorant tu jugak lah. Dah la makan sedap, booked the whole restaurant pulak tu. Macam Micheal Jackson nak propose Lisa Priesley je.
